This website is run by two tofus seeking respite in a pressure cooker called Singapore. the tofu house is a safe space for us to retreat and recharge.
We bought our current 103sqm container (house) in February 2023, renovated during the ghost month (lol), and officially moved in during December 2023. Throughout this period, housing policies were constantly undergoing updates, HDB resale prices were hitting new highs, and renovation regrets/scams were constantly making waves in the news.
Amidst all these chaos, we created the tofu house to document our journey from house hunting, to renovation, to making this our forever home (hopefully!)

We have been very hands-on throughout the entire renovation process to ensure we wouldn’t have one of those horror reno stories to share, and hence learned a lot of lessons along the way.
