Tofu V recently discovered this shopping mall in JB that stocks a lot of baby & pregnancy essentials from a Xiaohongshu post. Some items are apparently cheaper than that sold at baby fairs!
Hence, we thought it would be a good idea to go check it out and see if the deals are really as good as the reviews say.
P.S. if you’re not sure what to buy yet, consider collecting these free baby samples first from companies in Singapore!
We reached there early and saw A LOT of Singapore-registered cars already parked outside. Maybe this Little Genius Baby Mall is actually an open secret among a lot of parents?
If you go to the Tebrau one (which we did), the mall covers 3 levels: Level 1 for baby essentials, Level 2 for clothes, and Level 3 for bulkier items like car seats & strollers.
They stock a lot of reputable international brands, which we highly recommend taking a look at. These include your usual Pigeon, Huggies, Drypers, Philips Avent etc.
Little Genius Baby Mall also have some local brands & others which neither of us have never heard before. These ones, you’ll have to buy at your own risk!
We went around checking prices of items and took quite a few photos to come back and compare prices, and are sharing what we found here with you.
Diapers
This is cheaper in Little Genius Baby Mall compared to buying in Singapore. It really makes a lot of difference if you buy consistently in bulk.
They have most of the big brands here (Drypers, Huggies, etc.) so you should be able to find anything that your baby usually wears!

Formula milk
The price difference is so mind-blowing that we almost thought we were seeing things. The prices in Singapore are VERY inflated!
However, some mummies have shared with the tofus that the Singapore & Malaysia formulas are different. Malaysia’s formula tends to be sweeter, so if you’re not keen on that, do stick to buying your formula milk in Singapore.

Breast pumps
Brands stocked here are limited – only saw some like Mustela. Price-wise, it’s definitely cheaper in Little Genius Baby Mall than if you bought from official distributors e.g. NTUC.
However, you can actually buy these pumps for much cheaper from the unofficial ones like Pupsik… although we won’t guarantee if you get the same quality or warranty!
Baby wipes, shampoo etc
We didn’t take photos of these but managed to compared prices across a few brands while we were at the Baby Mall, and there’s definitely a price difference. We highly recommend buying some (if you don’t have any samples yet) to try on baby, then bulk buying in future.
Baby & mummy clothes, socks etc
Both of us didn’t find any of the clothes good, to be honest. The good-quality, branded ones are still as expensive as Singapore.
You can probably find better ones on Taobao, so just give this a miss.
Carriers & strollers
The brands stocked here are super limited. You can consider buying this local brand called Koopers, which the staff recommended to us.
However, do note that the prices here versus the ones in bigger Mothercare stores in Malaysia are exactly the same.
NOTE: To enjoy member price (which is what makes everything so worth it!), you’ll need to request for membership during checkout. This costs just RM3!
For our first trip to Little Genius Baby Mall, we bought some diaper packs, pacifier, baby wipes, and toys. We foresee we’ll be back in future to stock up on diapers and baby wipes!
Tip: If you’d like to check out the items in this mall, I recommend going on a weekday if you can to avoid crowds! If not, go in JB as early as possible to camp outside. The crowds can really get very overwhelming. It’s not great for either a pregnant mum or worse, if you’re bringing your kid along.
