Where to buy tiles in Singapore: our list of popular tile shops & suppliers

When it comes to renovating your home, choosing the right tiles makes a significant difference in the aesthetics and functionality of your space.

We didn’t think too much about it during our own renovation because we were going with an ID (Urban Home Design) and trusted their recommendation. However, on hindsight we did realise that we could have explored other options.

If you are planning to get your own contractor and self-source tiles, you may also be wondering where you can get your preferred tiles at the best prices.

In this guide, we’ll explore the best places to buy tiles in Singapore, covering factors like variety, pricing, and customer service.

Things to consider when buying tiles

Before we dive into the list of tile suppliers, here are some key factors to keep in mind when purchasing tiles:

  • Tile Material: Different materials serve different purposes. Porcelain and ceramic tiles are popular for flooring. On the other hand, marble and mosaic tiles are typically used on walls.
  • Durability & Maintenance: High-traffic areas require durable tiles that are easy to maintain.
  • Price Range: Tile prices in Singapore vary based on material, size, and design. It’s best to set a budget before shopping. Try to ask around for tile prices and quotations from those who have done their renovation.
  • Showroom Visits vs. Online Shopping: Visiting a showroom allows you to see the tile’s texture and colour in person, while online platforms offer convenience and price comparisons. Decide what works best for you.

Websitewww.hafary.com.sg
Locations: Multiple showrooms (Eunos, Balestier, TradeHub 21)

Hafary probably doesn’t need much of an introduction. It is one of the most well-known tile suppliers in Singapore, offering a vast selection of tiles for residential and commercial projects.

They provide ceramic, porcelain, marble, and mosaic tiles in various styles, including modern, rustic, and luxury finishes.

We got our tiles from here on our first tile shopping trip, as we managed to find some budget ones from China that fit nicely into our home design. However, our ID did offer to bring us to the other shops if we couldn’t find anything we liked here.

Lian Seng Hin – Trusted Tile Supplier with Over 40 Years of Experience

Soon Bee Huat is another top tile supplier in Singapore, offering a mix of budget-friendly and premium tiles. Their large showroom allows customers to explore a variety of designs, from classic to contemporary.

Based on other home owners’ reviews, it seems that Soon Bee Huat offers a slightly smaller selection that that of Hafary. However, the customer service and buying experience seems to differ from person to person.

As crazy as it sounds, yes you can actually buy your tiles from e-commerce sites. These platforms offer imported tiles at lower prices, and can sometimes offer designs or materials that you never thought of.

However, we can’t emphasise enough to check reviews for quality assurance. You also have to be prepared to take on a certain amount of risk here because the cost can really add up when you’re buying a lot of tiles. You don’t want to be stuck with a whole bunch of tiles that you can’t use at all!

For more details on how to ship tiles from Taobao, you can check out this user’s experience. In summary, you need to calculate the quantity you need first from your renovation floor plan, and then communicate with the seller properly on the logistics.

If you need to use a 3rd party forwarder, we’ve detailed a guide here for your reference.
