We’re not exaggerating when we say that installing digital locks has been one of our BEST renovation decisions. This is especially so for Tofu V, who had been dealing with the hassle of keys for her whole life and thought that having digital locks was seriously life-changing 🙌🏻
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on which camp you’re in), there are way too many digital lock options in the Singapore market. Hence, we deliberated for very long, going to different showrooms and IT shows to compare products.
For some of the popular brands, their lock designs were not sleek and looked very bulky. We also realised that some brands don’t synchronise for the grill gate & door gate to open together without additional hardware.
Luxus DG5 & Atlas locks – features we love
After much consideration, we eventually opted for the Luxus DG5 (grill gate lock) & Atlas (door gate lock). This is a synchronised digital lock bundle that includes:
- Unlocking via Fingerprint, Passcode, RFID Cards, Physical Key, Bluetooth, & WiFi
- Installation services and cleanup
- Setup of security features
- 24-month warranty (Atlas) 12-month warranty (DG5)

This was actually one of our biggest installation ‘headaches’ which was thankfully resolved by the fact that the Luxus Atlas is very slim!
All in all, we love that the Luxus locks look sleek, ergonomic, and unlock really fast. We both agree that they are a practical and aesthetic addition to our house.

How much did our Luxus gate locks cost?
In addition to the digital lock bundle, we also got the MaxSeal door seal and digital doorbell from Luxus.
In total, we paid S$1,500 for everything (door seal, door bell, grill gate lock and door gate lock!).
However, do note that this was a special promotional price that we got during COMEX 2023. Luxus is not the cheapest lock brand out there, but their promotions are quite worth it!
